Vibra® transformer mounts have been specially developed to decouple roller-type transformers from the building in a safe, stable and acoustically effective manner. Their purpose is to minimise both disruptive vibrations and the transmission of structure-borne noise via the floor. This is particularly important in buildings where transformers are operated in close proximity to sensitive areas – such as residential developments, public facilities, technical centres or commercial buildings.

The mounts are available in two proven sizes, 150 mm and 250 mm, and thus meet the standard requirements of modern transformers. Typically, four mounts are used per unit to ensure optimum load-bearing capacity and stable, evenly distributed support. Installation is extremely simple: the elements are bolted to the floor or to an existing substructure. The transformer is then placed directly onto the prepared bearings, ensuring it is securely positioned and effectively vibration-isolated.

The targeted combination of elastic materials creates a system that effectively absorbs low-frequency vibrations whilst withstanding high continuous loads. The mounts reliably prevent vibrations from the transformer from being transmitted into the building structure, where they would cause audible or perceptible disturbances. This principle not only contributes to noise reduction but also protects adjacent components from gradual fatigue, micro-cracks or other damage that can result from constant vibration excitation.

Furthermore, Vibra® transformer mounts significantly enhance operational and occupant comfort. In technical rooms or substations, the acoustic environment becomes much more pleasant due to the significant reduction in the typical humming noise, which is particularly advantageous for buildings that require a high quality of stay. At the same time, the vibration decoupling reduces the stress on installations, cables and adjacent systems, which can lower maintenance costs in the long term.

The robust construction and carefully selected materials ensure a long service life, even under demanding operating conditions such as high continuous loads, temperature fluctuations or varying frequency excitations. This makes Vibra® transformer mounts a proven and durable solution in the fields of transformer construction, power distribution and building services engineering.
