Vibraflex® elastomer foam is a modern insulation material developed specifically to meet the requirements of building services engineering, plant engineering and automotive engineering. The material is based on closed-cell synthetic rubber and combines several key properties: excellent thermal insulation performance, reliable protection against moisture and condensation, and effective sound absorption.

The closed-cell structure of Vibraflex® functions as an integrated vapour barrier, eliminating the need for additional sealing materials. As a result, the insulating effect remains constant for many years and reliably prevents condensation or corrosion under insulation (CUI). With a thermal conductivity of approximately 0.036 W/mK at 0 °C, Vibraflex® helps to significantly reduce energy losses and ensures the efficient operation of both heating and cooling systems.

In addition to its thermal properties, Vibraflex® also delivers impressive acoustic performance. Its closed-cell structure effectively absorbs airborne sound, significantly reducing operational noise, flow noise and reverberation. This dual function makes the material a genuine 2-in-1 solution for thermal and acoustic insulation – an advantage that is increasingly in demand in modern buildings and facilities.

Another advantage is its flexibility and ease of installation. Vibraflex® is available in rolls or sheets, in various thicknesses, and can be easily cut to size and adapted to complex geometries such as pipework, fittings or tanks. Even at low temperatures, the material remains elastic and retains its precise fit. This saves time during installation and ensures durable and safe insulation.

Vibraflex® also complies with current fire safety standards. This means the material is not only suitable for traditional HVAC applications, but also for safety-critical applications.

Delivery form

The material is supplied as standard in trimmed sheet form and can also be produced as a custom-fit cut to individual dimensions on request. Precise machining and short lead times enable easy integration into a wide variety of applications.

The sheets are supplied in film packaging and must be stored in a dry place. Prolonged exposure to direct UV light must be avoided.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

A: Vibraflex® is also a synthetic rubber foam, similar to K-FLEX, but an in-house vibraplast product. It is suitable for thermal insulation of pipes, air conditioning systems and ventilation systems. We recommend enquiring directly about the exact differences in specifications and applications, as Vibraflex® is available in various versions to meet specific requirements.
A: Yes. In addition to sheet form, Vibraflex® is also available as insulating hoses and insulating bandages. Hoses are pulled directly over pipes and are available in various internal diameters. Bandages are suitable for the flexible insulation of fittings, valves and irregularly shaped pipes.
A: Vibraflex® is designed for operating temperatures ranging from approximately -50 °C to +105 °C. For higher temperatures, we recommend Armaflex® HT or glass fibre mats. The exact temperature profile can be found in the product data sheet.
A: Yes. Vibraflex® is available in rolls and as cut-to-size sheets. For projects with specific requirements regarding thickness or format, we recommend making a direct enquiry.
