PU ester filter foam, the open-pored foam for filtering of air, soundproofing, or wind absorption.

The PU ester filter foam is available in black and is mainly used in industrial applications for air filtering, soundproofing, or wind absorption. These open-pore foams are classified depending on the pore size. The filter foam is classified in PPI (pores per inch). This PPI 45 filter foam has 45 pores per inch. In our online shop, you will find a large selection of foam qualities that are adapted to the most varied of projects and requirements. Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Reticulation is a post-treatment of foams to achieve liquid, air or gas permeability. In this process, the cell membranes between the foam webs are removed, but the basic structure of the foam remains intact. Only the thin intermediate skins of the foam are removed, thereby creating an open-cell foam that is permeable to air or liquid.

The filter foams are classified according to the unit PPI pores per inch, i.e. the number of pores per inch. As a result this PPI 15 filter foam has 15 pores per inch. The higher the number, the finer the pores. ( 15 PPI = coarse pores, 60 PPI = fine pores)

The blue polyether-based filter foam is resistant to hydrolysis (resistance during prolonged storage in water) and is therefore particularly suitable for water applications, as well as for outdoor applications. The hydrolysis-resistant filter foam can be recognized by its blue colouring.

For a perfect filtration result, the permeability in connection with the right pore size is essential. With the right combination of these two elements we achieve an optimal separation in an efficient process. The filter effect is controlled by the pore size according to your requirements. The required pore size - measured in cells per inch (PPI, Pores per inch) - can be defined and adjusted in the production process, depending on the application and the media to be filtered.
