Stop buffers for impact damping.
The stop buffers are designed to serve as shock absorbers. Fastening elements such as bolts or internal threads are only elastic on the one side with the rubber part. When the stop buffer is set into vibrational movements resulting from shocks, it comes to a rest after a few oscillation periods. This type of energy absorption, also called damping, corresponds to a subcritical bearing where the natural frequency of the oscillating system is greater than the frequency of the component that causes the vibration.
