PUR integral foams for high impact and thermal protection as well as excellent acoustic insulation.

In contrast to parts made of flexible PUR foam, parts made of integral foam have a tear-resistant 1-2 mm outer skin, while the foam core consists of a soft and filigree cell structure. An essential property of integral moulded parts is the high protective effect of the tough elastic, robust outer skin. The surface of the outer skin results from the tool structure which is transferred to the outer skin of the moulded part. Complicated shapes can be realised with intergral foam. Metal fastening elements can be foamed in without any problems. Integral foams can be foamed in all RAL colours. The areas of application for integral skin foam mouldings are primarily in industry or vehicle construction, e.g. as shock absorbers, armrests, handles, chair cushions, acoustic bonnets, sound insulation bonnets or in the medical sector as arm or leg rests. Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

One of the main advantages of integral skin foams is their high protective effect. The impact-absorbing properties of the foam core combined with the tough, elastic, robust outer skin is an outstanding feature. Shapes that cannot be achieved with other processes can also be produced with integral skin foam. It is also possible to fastening parts and carrier materials are foamed in. An individual colour scheme is also possible.

The special manufacturing process of integral foams creates an integrated skin on the outer surfaces of the integral mouldings, which has a thickness of approx. 1-2 mm. The outer skin can be smooth or structured or marked, and is also largely closed and mechanically highly stressable. The inner part of the integral foam always retains the cellular character.
