The unique polyethylene product K/PE 29 HFFR for insulating and sealing is halogen-free and self-extinguishing.
The unique anthracite polyethylene product K/PE 29 HFFR (29kg/m3) is the world's first halogen-free and flame-resistant PE. Until now, flame retardancy was usually generated on the basis of halogenated molecules. The problem: These solutions are highly toxic to humans, especially when burned. The newly developed product K/PE 29 HFFR replaces these components and, in the event of fire, does not form corrosive gases or aggressive acids that form in combination with extinguishing water. With this K/PE 29 HFFR, the automotive, electrical and construction industries are provided with another innovative material for sealing and insulating, which meets important fire protection requirements. The use of halogen-free materials is obligatory in all public buildings for the reasons mentioned above. The possibility of using PE with its many positive properties opens up new application possibilities here. The material has already passed the FAR aviation standard. Our HFFR has also already been approved for the construction industry with the highest classification in the HBF & HF-1 standard according to UL-94. We offer the K/PE 29 HFFRPE foam in standard sheet format with or without self-adhesive, in various thicknesses, colours and qualities or individually cut and assembled according to customer requirements.
