viscoelastic mattress topper, PU ether foam 75 kg/m³, beige

Viscoelastic mattress topper for exceptional, pressure-relieved lying comfort that is adapted to the body.

The viscoelastic mattress topper “Viso Topper” is made of PUR foam (memory foam) and has a density of 75 kg/m³ recommended for body weights from 70 kg. The beige open-cell, flexible polyurethane foam with excellent properties allows it to form conformal contours and distribute pressures. This foam material deforms slowly under pressure and adapts itself to the exact shape of the pressure-exerting body. Once the pressure is relieved, the foam slowly returns to its original foam. The Visco-Topper can simply be laid onto the existing mattress without affecting its function. Order easily from our standard product range or send us your request for custom dimensions!

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

If you would like to cut the foam to size yourself, there are various possibilities to cut the edges straight and clean. Foam can be cut mechanically with a band saw with a fine-toothed or toothless blade. Foam with a thickness of 20 mm - 30 mm can still be cut very well with sharp scissors. However, if you want to cut thicker foam, you will get very good results with an electric meat knife. Due to the two counter-rotating blades, the material is cut very precisely and cleanly. If you do not have an electric knife at hand, you can also use a conventional bread knife. The bread knife should have a serrated edge. Cutters or meat knives with a smooth blade are not recommended, because the knife becomes dull very quickly and you get frayed edges. a little vegetable oil on the recommended knife blade helps to simplify the cut. Another possibility: So that a "clean" cut is possible, it is advisable to treat the foam with some pressure (using a ruler) and compressit as much as possible to "0" and in this condition use a sharp Cutter to cut through in one go.

The visco-foam will change significantly in tensile strength and elongation at break when it gets wet. This will certainly lead to the foam tearing very easily under load or during handling. Furthermore, the foam is a very good water reservoir, i.e. the drying time after washing would be very long and squeezing out is not recommended. Since disinfectants are usually also found in liquid form, we would also advise against such treatment.
